Senior Center Photography Show Set For Washington Square Park –

WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK, NY — A photography display featuring work from residents of a Greenwich Village senior center will take place next week on the north side of Washington Square Park.
The photos will be digitally displayed on the side of the Center on the Square building at 20 Washington Square North.
The free event open to the public will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The event is organized by Greenwich House, a West Village community organization that provides senior services, arts and education.
For the past three months, seniors from the Center on the Square have been participating in an artistic photography workshop with instructor Janis Lewin.
The photography display next week will be the “culminating event” to celebrate their work and accomplishments.
The event will be outdoors, socially distant and masks are required. Lewis will also deliver opening remarks.
The display was made possible through a grant from City Artist Corps, which is a $25 million arts recovery initiative announced by Mayor Bill de Blasio earlier this year.
Greenwich House was founded in 1902.
