Moving Forward, Travel Tales and Wildlife Photography –

Belfast Garden Club’s November 16 speaker series features Shelley Lance-Fulk and Jacklyn Amtower, two sisters with a passion for world travel, adventure and wildlife photography. The presentation will be available through Zoom from noon to 1 p.m.
The sisters co-wrote Can I Carry Your Luggage which describes and includes their photographs of animals they came across on all seven continents. Their second book, Upside Down and Backwards, describes their trips to their two favorite continents, Africa and Antarctica.
Africa was an overwhelming assault on their senses as they viewed the great migration in Kenya and Tanzania, sleeping with lions resting against their tent. They climbed up the side of a dormant volcano in Uganda to photograph the mountain gorillas. The remoteness and beauty of Antarctica drew them back six times to photograph icebergs, penguins, whales and seabirds. Their wildlife photographs bring their stories to life in their engaging presentation.
Shelley and Jacklyn currently live in Newport. They have been traveling and photographing wildlife around the world since their teens and have had their passports stamped from more than 137 countries. While they enjoy meeting new people and observing other cultures, their appreciation for the state of Maine always draws them home to the animals and splendor of their beautiful community.
Join the two sisters as they share their passion for travel and photographing wildlife around the world and share enlightening and often humorous stories of their adventures.
